Field Organizer/Campaign Organizer:

 

 – As a Field Organizer, you are responsible for recruiting and managing volunteers to help promote a cause or political campaign. Your duties will include engaging and motivating volunteers, ensuring that goals and objectives are met, setting up events, and canvassing initiatives. Field Organizers usually canvass neighborhoods, survey voters, and later turn out targeted voters during early voting and through election day. 

 

Campaign Canvasser:

 – Canvassers should also be highly organized and able to work independently. They should be comfortable working in a variety of settings, as well as being physically resilient and hardworking. A successful Canvasser needs to present the campaign to the widest number of people. This requires excellent communication skills, and political knowledge. They also need to love traveling, have an in-depth knowledge of the offer and be persuasive. 

 

Field Director:

 – A field director manages field organizers/canvassers and the data used by the campaign team. This usually involves managing canvassers or organizers and setting out the areas and engaging with citizens required by the project.

 

Campaign Manager:

 – Campaign managers develop and implement political strategies to help their candidates win elections. This includes researching potential voters, developing messaging and branding, organizing events and rallies, executing fundraising plans, promoting media campaigns, maintaining campaign budgets and tracking donations, managing volunteers and staff members, and overseeing all other aspects of the campaign team. A successful campaign manager must have excellent organizational skills, an in-depth knowledge of local politics, strong communication abilities with both internal teams and external constituents like the media or donors. 

 

Legislative Aide:

 – The Legislative Aide will help an elected official with legislative proposals, as well as advising on bills, working with policy committee staff, legislative staff, lobbyists, and advocates. They will also assist with responses to constituent inquiries and phone calls regarding legislation and is responsible for all background work related to legislation supported by their elected official.

 – The Digital Director is a key position in any political campaign. They lead the planning of how best for the campaign to use television, radio, social media, and other forms of media to help influence voters. They are especially influential as social media has come to dominate the landscape. Job responsibilities vary depending on the type of election, but may include developing and executing a communications plan, creating content, monitoring online conversation around the election, and managing digital advertising campaigns. The Digital Director is an essential member of any successful political team.

            

 – A Mid-Level Political Strategist is someone who promotes the election of certain candidates or the interests of certain groups. This is achieved by planning campaign strategies, coordinating campaign staffers, and arranging events to publicize candidates or causes.  – The role of a youth coordinator is to mobilize young volunteers for a campaign. They work with local schools, colleges and community organizations to identify and recruit potential volunteers.  – A Political Account Manager usually works for a political consulting firm and is responsible for developing and managing campaign relationships, working with the campaign team/candidate to create and execute a specific aspect of a political campaign, and tracking the results. They must have excellent communication skills, be able to manage multiple projects/candidates/campaigns simultaneously, and have strong attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a passion for politics.
